DHS Students: Last day to purchase Class T-shirts is Friday, August 26th!

CMS ASB Officer Applications are available in Mr. Goldman’s room or in the front office at DHS with Mrs. Weathers. Applications are due on Friday, August 26th  by 3:30pm.

To all DHS Peer Counseling Students:
There will be a meeting on Friday, 8/26/11 at 12:00 during lunch with our community partner from the UC Davis Medical Center.  We will be discussing plans for peer mediation and the program planned for you all.  Please meet in room 28.  If you have questions, please contact Ms. Leo.

Attention DHS students!  If you are interested in working on the DHS Yearbook, please come to Mrs. Larson's room (CMS 13) after school today (Monday 8/21).

DHS students parking in the main parking lot need to pick up an application for a parking permit in the Attendance Office. Starting Monday, August 29th you will need to have a parking permit in order to park in the main lot.


















































Are you looking for community service hours? Bilingual students are needed at Bates during the week from 5-6pm to assist with a parent support program. Start date is yet to be determined. Interested students please complete a community service form and see Mrs. Rosado for pre-approval.


The Army is holding another informational session on Thursday, Feb. 17th. Any interested Juniors and Seniors, please sign up with Ms. Hiromoto in the office.


Attention DHS students: Need community service hours? The Old Sugar Mill needs volunteers for “Restore the Delta” event on Feb. 26th at 6pm. Students will help direct traffic for this fundraising event. Any interested students, see Mrs. Rosado to get your community service form pre-approved.


Attention Students, Parents and Community Members: Due to the remodeling of the main building at Delta High School we have the opportunity to offer anyone interested the opportunity to purchase locker doors for $5.00.  We encourage you take advantage of obtaining some Delta High School memorabilia! Last day to purchase is Wednesday, February 16th!


All DHS Floral monthly members, your Valentine designs will be ready for pick-up anytime on Thursday.  Friday is holiday – NO school.  If you can’t make it they will be available on Monday Feb 14th


Wanna tell that someone special just how much they mean to you this Valentine’s Day?  Say it with flowers!! Single wrapped rose bouquets on sale for $3 or single rose glass bud vase designs are available for $10 …………everything offered while supplies last.  See Mrs. Spears to pre-book your order or stop by the Ag department TODAY and see what’s available.


FFA - All students interested in attending the annual CA State FFA Convention in Fresno see your Ag advisor for applications.  ALL MONEY DUE February 16th Convention dates are April 16th – 19th and the cost is $200.  There are limited numbers of reserved rooms, so if you are interested get your money and forms in soon!


FFA – The annual Ag Boosters Dinner Dance is Saturday March 19th in Thornton @ 6pm.  Students can earn FFA participation and be entered into a drawing for a free yearbook or $100 towards fairs or conferences for selling tickets.  See on advisor for further information.  The Ag Boosters parent run group fundraises for scholarships as well as sponsoring numerous FFA events and activities!


Congratulations to this year’s Rotary Speech Contestants: 1st place Camille Burt, 2nd place Gretchen Schauer, 3rd place Jay Callis. Great job!


Senior girls – interested in a career in Engineering? Then I have a scholarship for you! See Mrs. Rosado for more information. Hurry – deadline is Feb. 25th.


Attention: Junior and Senior girls, you are invited to participate in a free Fairy Godmother Boutique for prom dresses on March 19th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Rio Vista. Gently used prom dresses, shoes and accessories will be provided along with gift bags. If you would like to donate dresses or for more information, please see Gretchen Schauer, Georgia Castro, Camille Burt or Mrs. Roys.


Seniors: A local scholarship has arrived! Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from each of the five Delta counties. Discover The Delta Foundation requires an application, transcript, and an essay and design portion for students interested in Ag or the sciences. See Mrs. Rosado for an application. Deadline is May 1st.


Seniors: Be sure to complete your Cal Grant GPA verification form ASAP. Deadline to apply for financial aid is March 2nd.
