Welcome back. I am thrilled to be teaching 6th grade again.  We are going to have a great year together.

Please remember that sixth graders have multiple teachers.  We do work together and try to match our pacing and due dates on large assignments, but daily work may be different.  Please check on the other teachers' links for their assingments.

We do use the binder reminder daily in the sixth grade.  Filling out the binder reminder is part of our daily routine.  Please check it regularly.

This month we will be establishing routines, and helping students know what to expect out of the curriculum, as well as, classroom expectations.

All sixth grade literature students are required to earn 20 Accelerated Reader points per trimester.  Grade fluctuations may be seen at progress report and final report grade times.  To avoid a surprise, keep your child READING, READING, READING!

Please be aware that all literature and history tests in my room are open book.  Part of the learning process is knowing how to find information.

Again, I am so glad that your child is in some of my classes.

Students are the best part of my job.
