Monday, October 6

First let me apologize for not entering information last week. I was in the throws of coming down with a bad cold and by the end of each day I was dragging myself home and into bed early. I got lots of rest this past weekend and finally feel like I might survive. Many thanks to my class for helping me get through the week. They were very patient and kind. They were very sweet to me on Friday for my birthday.

Math~~timed test--some students need to be practicing their time tables at home everyday. Knowing your time tables helps with division (which we started today) and fractions.  Began practicing long division (the traditional way--this is the way you and I learned it when we were in school).

Writing~~began working on compare and contrast paragraphs about Native Americans

Reading~~worksheet on sequencing events in a story; read silently

We have full band (everyone goes) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Friday is a sectional day. We always note in our planners on Thursday who has sectional the next day. This week on Friday is woodwinds. Thank you for your help.
