Practice Schedule: Daily 2:15 - 5:30pm

Saturdays 10-2

3/19/2008 -

February 25th was the beginning of the season, but Saturday the 15th of March marked the beginning of the 2008 competitive season.  The Knights hosted the Kitsap County Meet.  Nine schools from around the county competed.   The Lady Knights finished 4th and were led by Senior Jacki Hill who won the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes.  Eleven girls competed in 13 of the 18 events.  Along with Jacki, Rosie Lewellyn ran the 200 and placed 8th.  Kia MacIntyre placed 6th in the 800 meter run.  She combined with Rosie, Alaina Hoffman, and Arianna Hernandez-Jones in the 4 X 200 meter relay where they placed 3rd.  Rosie also teamed up with T’Lea McLeod, Angela Anderson, and Stephanie Himmelsbach for 2nd place in the 400 meter relay.  Stephanie and Angela both competed in the high hurdles where Stephanie placed 2nd and Angela was 5th.  Each of these two had other events.  Angela was 2nd in the pole vault and Stephanie high jumped but did not place and  ran the 300 low hurdles where she finished 4th.  In the throwing events the Lady Knights were represented by Adriana Alexander, T’Lea McLeod, Kaitlyn Gervais, and Ari Kuykendall.  They were in the shot put and discus throw.

On the boys side the Knights finished 5th in the team standings.  Alex Griffin, John Wittneberg, and Jamaree Wells led the way with first place finishes in their primary events.  Alex won the 100 and 200 and Jamaree won the triple jump.  They combined with Jamiere Abney and Chris Fleming in the 400 meter relay, but did not fare well there.  Chris went on to place 3rd in both the high jump and the 100 meter dash and ran a leg on the 4 X 400 meter relay.  David Fry ran in two distance events.  He finished 9th in the 800 with a new personal record and then came back in the 3200 for another p.r. and 8th place.  Keving Shardelman also ran for a new p.r. in the 1600 where he finished 9th.  John Wittenberg led the way for the Knight throwers with a win in the discus throw and 7th in the shot put.  Courtney Stone was a few inches behind John and finished 8th in the shot put.  Garrett Torchiani place 4th in the discus.  In the jumps, along with Jamaree in the horizontal jumps, freshman Demasha Aldridge looked very good in the high jump with an 8th place.  In the javelin throw freshman Kyle Kennedy placed 7th with the best javelin effort the Knights have had in a couple seasons.  Other athletes who performed but did not place are Gavin Borchers and Patrick McConnell in the sprints; David Pierce in the hurdles and relays; Isaac Anderson in the hurdles and pole vault; Dan Rahm, Justin McClain, Gabriel Kirkland in the throws; Bobby Brown in the 1600; Justin, Richard Kendrick, and Jake Sanders did some high jumping.

Next for the Knights is the Bremerton Relay Classic this Saturday the 22nd.  This will be the 10th Annual.

It begins at 8:30 A.M. with the boys hammer throw.
