Dear Parents and Students:
Here's what's happening currently in my classes.

8th Grade Language Arts:  Currently we are studying capitalization and punctuation.  We just completed books featuring what our forefathers might have been like as children.

8th Grade Literature:  We are beginning to study short stories focussing on methods of characterization.  Our book report will answer a number of questions based on these methods as well as have a character collage.  A hilight will be talk shows featuring the main character of each short story.

8th Grade U.S. History:  Chapter 10, the Jefferson Era, will include a Lewis and Clark project in which students will "become" members of the Corps of Discovery and complete journals featuring animals and plants they discover, Native Americans they encounter, maps of routes, descriptions of hardships and accomplishments.

7th Grade Literature:  We are focussing on character and reading various short stories.
