Please Note!!! I made a mistake about when students need to arrive on Saturday for the Bear Brawl..students need to arrive by 7:30 in the morning on Saturday. First round starts at 7:45.

Note** The debate team will be leaving for the Bear Brawl on Friday November 20 immediately after school (2:15) by BUS. Please plan to pick your child up at University High School after the debate that night. Saturday morning, November 21 students are responsible for getting to CV as no bus transportation is provided. Debate that morning begins at 8 and students should arrive by 7:45.
If you are a parent who can judge, please let us know so we can list you as judges.
Food will be provided for students at this tournament by one of our parents. Thank you all who have signed up for cooler duty!

Dear Parents and Other Titan Debate Supporters:
As always, we are in need of debate and speech judges for the upcoming Bear Brawl Tournament at CVHS. This is our big Rivalry so we donÂt want to have to cut any kids due to a lack of judges. Remember: IF you judge, you can earn money that can be used toward paying your studentÂs way toward a Âtravel tournament. If you are able to judge for us at any of the following tournaments, please email Mr. Smith at dsmithy@cvsd.org
I had planned on holding a judging seminar this week before the Bear Brawl. Sadly, the only day available to my schedule was Monday. In the past, Mondays have proved to be very poor days for such events. Luckily, Andre Cossette the head debate coach at Gonzaga Prep will be holding a judging training seminar on Tuesday of this coming week and he has invited parents and supporters from ALL area high schools to attend. Thanks Andre! Therefore, we will forgo our proposed Monday event and hold another training seminar later in the year. The information on Gonzaga PrepÂs training seminar is:

We expect our entire team to be ready and registered for this tournament! Please see the link to the registration page and register early. We will also have a judges clinic to prepare enough parent judges for the event. Novices should see a varsity team member to get information on how to register for this event!
