Grade 9 Language Arts

Hope you all had a great time going to 'work' today.  Looking forward to having the class back for tomorrow.

As I mentioned last class, please be sure to have the rough copy of your Remembrance Day poem finished for tomorrow.  I will be choosing two of the poems to be read during the Remembrance Day Assembly.  Please note, the final copy is due on Friday.

We are going to be sharing our 'scripts' (we wrote last week, pages 53-53 (1-8) in the Language and Writing book).  Be sure to have this completed as I will be doing a homework check. Be ready to share your writing!

Grade 8 Language Arts October 28, 2009

Please have the rough copy of your Remembrance Day poetry completed. Final copy is due Friday. We will be choosing two pieces of writing from the class to be read at the Remembrance Day Assembly.

Be ready to come to class and work on your novel projects.  In terms of timeline, I am thinking it would be reasonable to expect projects to wrap up by the end of next week.

Grade 7 Language Arts- November 4, 2009

There are several people who haven't passed in their autobiographical writing for review.  Remember this is for marks!

Writing:  Please have your autobiography questions completed.  By  next class you should have a rough copy of an autobiography, focusing on details of one thing/time in your life. (not your whole life!)

You also are to have your rough copy of your Remembrance Day poems ready for review.  Several have already completed this.  The final draft is due on Friday.  We will be choosing two of the pieces to be shared at the Remembrance Day Assembly.

Grace 7 Science

Please complete the handout that you were working on in class today which covers pages 300-301 in the textbook, on 'logging'.  I will be collecting these sheets as well.

Please expect that you will be having the unit 5 test in the near future, most likely towards the end of next week. I will hand out a review sheet for you to complete that will aid you in your studying.
