SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community
Hi and welcome to my school notes page. This year I will have the pleasure of teaching science to classes 8-3 and Science and English to 8-5, and English to classes 9-2 and 9-7.

My email is cking@pembinatrails.ca

I respond within one day to any email requests, reminders or questions.

If you would like to meet with me about specific needs that your learner may have, please call the school or email me and we can set up a mutually acceptable time. I am often in the school until after 4:00, so please feel welcome to drop in and chat.

Do not worry about excessive homework in the beginning of the year. My philosophy around homework is that Monday through Thurday are open season for homework that should be completed if the student did not use classtime wisely, and weekends are generally off limits. Project work may occasionally extend into weekend time.  Please alert me if your student is spending more than one hour per evening on any assignment given in Science or ELA.

I ask that you check on here for project and test due dates, but daily work will not be posted. Occasionally I will be posting a copy of the assignments that I have handed to the students.

If you have any questions or comments, please send me a note and I will happily answer your questions.

Grade 9 ELA
