Good afternoon Today we started our unit on biographies. We began talking about what they are and what they are used for. We read a short biography on Dr. Seuss. We also stated a new art project. Here we read the story "the dot" by Pete Reynolds. Where we focused on believing in yourself and your artwork. The students used a sharpie right off the start. No pencil, and just let their intuition guide them. Social studies for the grade 5s we discussed and talked about the first people's and how they used materials that we wouldn't think of using now a days. TUSC is due on Wednesday. Reminder -- parent teacher interviews Wednesday after school and Thursday morning. No school Thursday or Friday.
