Help me congratulate Darius Pereira as our student of the month.  

What can I say the year has flown by quickly.  We literally have 3 weeks of school left to the year 2016.  The students have been very busy working this last month.  We have started a new novel Percy Jackson and are working on citing evidence, inferring, determining the meaning of words.  In social studies they are learning about Greece in connection with our novel.  I will soon be planning a trip to the Metropolitan Museum so that the students can also make connections with what they are learning.  In science the students just completed a project on the rock cycle which is displayed in our hallway.  

I would like to thank you for making sure your child comes to school on time and is prepared for his/her day.  It makes a difference when a child is here and ready to learn. I appreciate your support.  

I have planned a trip to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center on December 13, 2016. I am looking forward to having some of you join me to chaperone and make this a memorable trip.
