Thursday, October 9th:  Let's talk about water world!  There are many facets to our environmental makeup and the hydrologic cycle!  Look on page 69 and 70 to get interested in the unusual properties of water!!!  We will do a surface tension activity to reinforce them!  Finish reading Ch. 3 and complete the end of the chapter questions 1-15 even.  Have a great long weekend and see you seniors on Wednesday! 

Tuesday, October 7th:  Finish Scavenger hunt in library and finish up our mineral activity that we started last week.  Working in Ch. 3 on Earth's Environmental systems....do you know your spheres?  Volcanoes and the ring of fire on our our agenda today!  The Galapagos Islands are so amazing!

Friday, October 3rd:  Reviewing key terms in new book Ch. 1-3!  Going to library and getting into STEM Fair mode by brainstorming for new ideas for projects and looking up some important information in books.  I sent you an email with the information about this activity and STEM Fair!!

Wednesday, October 1st:  We got our new books!  Outing to look for sedimentary rocks!  Keep up with the reading and do section reviews for Ch.3.  Doing key terms from Ch. 1-3 in new book to smooth out transition between old and new books....great job!

Monday, September 29th:  Chapter 3 is very important and interesting...minerals and gemology!  It is important to know the main types of rocks so that you can determine the age and abundance of various precious and semiprecious gems!

Thursday, September 25th:  Ch. 1,2 and safety test!  Start reading Ch. 3.  We will have our new books soon!

Tuesday, September 23rd:  Density lab and hand in Sept. 1st SW!  Ch. 1, 2 and safety test on Thursday!

Friday, September 19th:  Rocking the sunflowers and reading in Ch. 2!

Wednesday, September 17th:  I am away...key terms for Ch. 2.

Monday, September 15th:  Starting Chapter 2 and going outside!

Thursday, September 11th:  Outside to sugary....reading in Ch. 1.

Tuesday, September 9th:  Ch.1 and going outside to identify plants!

Friday, September 5th, 2014:  Going over the first section of Ch. 1 and doing our first lecture guide!  Activity on bubbles....

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014:  Getting books, safety contracts and doing Where in the room and What's in my pocket activities!
