Thursday, January 28- 100th Day of School!! You received information on a 100 Day Project in your child’s folder today. Please make it simple! I do not want to stress the parents out on this simple project. The goal for this project is for your child to group items by 10’s to reach 100.
Friday, January 29- Read-A-Thon T-Shirt day. Wear Read-A-Thon T-shirt with jeans.
Sunday, January 31- Start of Catholic School’s Week! 8th Grade Pancake Breakfast and Open House
Valentine’s party will be held on Tuesday, February 9th at 2:00. Next week I will send home a list of all the students in the class so your child will be able to address his/her Valentine Cards. Please help your child decorate a shoe box or a small paper bag for his/her Valentine cards. I know some kids love to be crafty and others do not, please know the box or the small paper bag does not need to be too fancy.
Please continue praying for Rhyan, her family and the medical team. Rhyan is home enjoying family and friends. Ryan made it to school all 3 days this week. We were all very excited to have her back in class! Rhyan will be back in the hospital on Monday to have another treatment of chemo.
Sneak Peek into the Week:
The letter of the week is Hh Happy Hair. The homework page will be in your child’s folder on Monday and it will be due on Friday.
Religion- Jesus Teaches and continue with Baptism.- Thank you so much for sending in the baptism story of your child and the pictures! We will continue sharing the wonderful stories next week. The kids always love to hear the story of the day they were baptized!
Writing daily- working on writing a story with a beginning, middle and end.

Working on comprehension by retelling a story by naming the characters, setting and retelling the beginning, middle and the end of the story. Also, relating the story to any personal connections.
Math- The kids did a great job learning how to tell time to the nearest hour. We will start working on learning numbers up 100. Skip counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. The 100th day of school is on Thursday, Jaunary 28.
