Cadets and Parents,

This will be our last full week of school before the end of the year. This week we will work on learning about Comparatives in Spanish, we will delve deeper into SER v ESTAR, and we will review for our U3L2 test which will be held on Thursday, May 23rd.  I will be available after school on Monday and Wednesday this week.

Next week will be a short week, as we have Memorial Day on Monday, and the Bell Ringing Ceremony on Friday. We will be working on a writing prompt/presentation that will count as a summative grade, and we will review for the Final Exam, which is both oral and written.  I will be after school for help on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 28th and 29th.

Finally, some important information regarding exemptions and Final Exams:

Exemptions - Any Cadets that earned an A in both marking periods AND on the Midterm Exam are exempt from the Final Exam. All students that qualify will be notified.

Final Exam – All Cadets that are not exempt are required to take the Final Exam, which consists of two parts. Part one is oral and will be administered on Tuesday, June 4th during class.  Each Cadet will be interviewed by the teacher, and the Potential Interview Questions will be given out in class the week prior.  Cadets may NOT use any notes during the interview, so make sure to review, study & practice beforehand.  Part two will be written and will be given during the scheduled exam periods on Wednesday & Thursday, June 5th and 6th.  It will be a culmination of all vocabulary, grammar and concepts taught throughout the semester.

It has been a pleasure working with you this semester. Have a wonderful and safe Summer!

Sra. Lennon
