Good evening As you are all aware report cards went home yesterday, I hope there were no surprises. Patent teacher forms are due asap. Time preference will be given based on the order they are received. I hope to meet with all families. If you choose not to attend parent-teacher-student conferences, please send a note or email stating that you wish not to attend. Students also have a unit project due no later than December 3. I've already started receiving some. I am excited to see the final product after hearing many fantastic ideas from all students. Remember grade 3s will be focusing on a plant and grade 4s will be on an animal and its habitat. Please try to pick an animal or plant that your child does not know much about, but would like to learn more about. I will be sending a note home tomorrow, to see what type of project your child is wanting to do-brochure/poster/diorama/speech Reminder- math test tomorrow. Focus is on numbers to 1000 (grade 3) or 10000 (grade 4). Students have had lots of practice working with expanded form, standard notation, word form, and representing it using tens blocks In addition we are well on our way into our first novel study. We are reading "Mr. Popper's Penguins". We are reading the book as a class, so all students are able to move at the same pace. - students have a newspaper article relating to the book due Thursday Spelling test unit 10- Friday If you have and questions or concerns, don't hesitate to come by after school or send me an email. [email protected] Thanks, And hope to see you next week, Braden Ewchuk Ps. Pizza forms due tomorrow.
