Welcome to Ms. Stamer's Homework Page for 4th & 5th Grade Science, as well as 5-21 Language Arts.

We will begin to use index cards as a way to help us understand our vocabulary words, in Science and Language Arts. We also will be cutting the Smart Cards from our Science textbooks soon. Please send your student in with several small mailing envelopes. These will be good pockets to hold all of the extra pieces.

**Language Arts: Regarding Spelling Test for this week: I apologize for the volume of words this week. I did not realize how intense it would be. To rectify this, I will be testing ONLY words #1-15 this week (9/26). Next week, Friday (10/3), I will ONLY test words 1#6-30. Bonus words #1-3 will be on Friday 9/26 and Bonus Words #4-6 will be on Friday 10/3. After next week, when we finish this long list of words, we will ONLY use the Vocabulary Workshop Book and Treasures collection for our spelling words. Our Bonus Words may come for other sources, but there will not be as big a volume as there was this week. Once again, I apologize for any confusion this week. I continue to look forward to a great year with you all.***

Science 5-20/5-21:

1. Begin working on Comic Strip of Safe Science Classroom. This counts as part of your test grade. Make sure it is an ABCD picture. This is due Wednesday 9/24.

1. Complete the "At Home" Lab on page 51. Complete this in your notebook, on the next clean page. If you type your paragraph, it must be pasted into your notebook. Cut and paste 3 pictures from the Internet or from magazines that show how technology can help other people. Due Monday, 9/29.
2. Make sure that any Notebook Check, Test or Comic is signed if you have a 75 or lower. Friday Folders are due on Monday 9/29.  

Science 5-21:

1. Make sure that your cover page for Chapter 2 is complete.
2. Make sure you have a WOWs page for Chapter 2.
3. Read page 47 and complete the organizer at the bottom.

Science 4-18/4-19:

1. Read page 50.
2. Answer questions 4 & 5 on page 50.

2. Glue envelope to next clean page in Notebook. Cut out Vocabulary Smart Cards from page 71. Place them into the envelope. This is due Monday, 9/29.
3. Complete the "At Home" Lab on page 51. Complete this in your notebook, on the next clean page. If you type your paragraph, it must be pasted into your notebook. Cut and paste 3 pictures from the Internet or from magazines that show how technology can help other people. Due Tuesday, 9/30.
