A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents who planned or supported the Pot of Gold auction last night!  I hope you had a wonderful time!  It was a great success! 

 

SAVE THE DATE- Monday, May 23 at 12:00 - Kindergarten Celebration, the kids will sing a few songs and they will receive a certificate for completing kindergarten. Our class will be with Mrs. Leonard /Mrs. Gilmore’s class. Please put this date on your calendars.

 

Thursday, March 24 Letter People Day- The kids will parade around to different classes to share the Letter People outfits! The older kids always enjoy seeing the kindergartners dressed up as Letter People.

 

Friday, March 25- Good Friday NO SCHOOL

 

Tuesday, March 22- The taping of our class saying the Pledge of Allegiance will be shown on KOMU in the morning! Don’t forget to watch! On the KOMU, The Daily Pledge web page, it says they will air this segment during the last minute of KOMU 8 News Today. You will also be able to see it on KOMU web page. Monday, April 4- Thursday, April 7th – I will be out of the class working on kindergarten screenings for next school year. You will not receive weekly progress report this coming week or the week of kindergarten screenings. 

 

 

Please continue praying for Rhyan, her family and the medical team. Please say some extra prayers for a speedy recovery for Rhyan. Rhyan’s counts were very low, so, the doctor will not let her travel. They are hoping to be able to come home by this next weekend. Jen posted an update on Caring Bridges. I know they really miss being home.

 

Please double check your child's fleece to make sure they do not have another child's fleece.  Thank you!

Kindergarten Lenten Project- As a Lenten Project, kindergarten will be collecting items for the Food Bank’s Buddy Pack Program. These are individually wrapped healthy snacks. We will be collecting these food items until Wednesday, March 9th. Thank you for your support with this project! Thank you so much for all the donations already given so far.

 

Here are some suggestions for food items to donate to the Buddy Pack (all items should be individually wrapped):

 

Peanut butter crackers or cheese crackers

Granola bars

Individual serving size pop-top canned fruit, pasta, or soup

Individual serving size cereal

Rhyan’s surgery went very well! Please say some extra prayers for a speedy recovery for Rhyan. I know Friday was a rough day, but I’m praying yesterday and today was 100% better than Friday. Jen had posted an update late Friday night on her Caring Bridge

Rhyan will have surgery next week, March 2nd, in New York to remove the tumor. The RallyforRhyan fundraiser at the MU Men’s Basketball Game to benefit pediatric cancer research was very successful, raising over $50,000! There is an update on Caring Bridges of the results of the scans from this past week and their options for treatment.
