Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a great break. This week we will be continuing to work in Chapter U3L2 which we started over the break. Next week, we will have our Chapter test (either Wednesday or Thursday). Next week we will also be working on an in class writing prompt/presentation that will count as a summative grade.
I will be available for help after school this week on Thursday and next week on Tuesday and Thursday.

HAPPY LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL FOR 2017!
This week we will begin our last chapter, U3L2, which focuses on family. We will have a vocabulary quiz on Thursday 12/21 before break. When we return from break, we only have 9 class days until exams!
I will be available after school Tuesday 12/19 and Wednesday 12/20 for any cadet needing extra help or needing to make up the U2L2 test.

Due to the unexpected early dismissal, 5th and 6th block classes did not take their test today (Friday 12/15). Both classes should be prepared to take their test on Monday 12/18. Please continue to utilize the e-textbook resources while preparing over the weekend.

Cadets & Parents,
Last week, I met with each cadet individually to show them exactly where they stand in terms of 2nd Marking Period grades and what their final grade is projected to be at this point and time. It is very important that cadets know where they stand going into the last few assessments and final exams. As a reminder, final grades are calculated as follows: MP1 = 40%, MP2 = 40%, Midterm Exam = 10% and Final Exam =10%.
We have our U2L2 test coming up THIS FRIDAY 12/15. I will be available for help after school Tue, Wed and Thurs this week.
Next week before the break we will start chapter U2L3 which focuses on family. We will have our vocabulary quiz on Thursday 12/22 before the break and our test on or around 1/8 (the second week we are back). We will also have some other summative grade in addition to the test after the break.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! A few quick announcements/reminders:
This week we will build on what we did before the break with regular ar verbs and learn about er/ir verbs. It is a very similar pattern and will not be a full/traditional chapter. We will take a quiz on this topic on Thursday. This quiz will count as a summative grade.
Next week, we will officially be half way through the 2nd MP (and 3/4 of the way through the course!). We have a jam packed schedule from now until winter break and when we return from break we only have 9 class days before final exams(1/17-1/19). PLEASE continue to utilize the e-textbook resources and after school tutoring if you are struggling and looking to improve your grade.
This week, I will be available for tutoring Tuesday and Friday (as long as I'm needed). I will be here on Wednesday, but only for a half hour (if anyone wants to come before practice or seeing another teacher...).
