Grade 7 RC ELA - we corrected all Spelling questions due today. There will be a Chapter 1 Spelling quiz on Wednesday. No homework.
Grade 7 RC MATH - we corrected some of the questions due today. The rest on Wednesday. Questions 8 - 15 on page 58 are also due on Wednesday.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - We discussed Percent of a Number, took some notes and students are working on page 142/143 questions 3 - 14 for tomorrow.
Grade 7 RC ELA - students worked on Spelling questions p.3 # 1,2 and p. 4 all as well as a double sided grammar worksheet Synonyms/Homonyms. All due Monday.
Grade 8 MATH - NO CLASSES due to School Mass in the morning.
Grade 7 MATH - both classes - we started looking at Multiplying Decimal Numbers and I gave students notes with examples. They are working on p. 57 q. 3,4,5,6 and 7. Due Monday.
Grade 7RC ELA - students finished presenting their "How I spent my summer story". We also went to the school library so students can pick a book for Silent reading time. Finally we started our Spelling program with a Chapter 1 Spelling Pretest. No homework.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all questions due today. Quiz tomorrow on Converting Fractions, Decimals and Percents. No homework.
Grade 7 MATH - both classes - we corrected all questions due today. There will be a quiz tomorrow on Adding and Subtracting Decimals. No homework beyond question 10 of the 3.3 worksheet that was already handed out.
Grade 7 RC ELA - students finished their 'How I spent my summer' story package and we started oral presentations in front of the class. To be continued and finished tomorrow.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all items due today and students began working on questions 18 - 20 on page 137 and q. 5,9,10 and 11 on page 150/151, due tomorrow. Reminder, quiz on Thursday.
Grade 7 MATH - both classes - we corrected all items due today. Students started working on questions 17 - 21 on page 50 and q. 5 - 8 on page 74/75 and questions 1 - 10 on worksheet 3.3 (it was handed out). Due tomorrow. Reminder, quiz on Thursday.
Grade 7RC ELA - students worked to complete all the items required for their "How I spent my summer " story. It is due for handing in tomorrow :Title page, Good copy, rough drafts and any extra drawings or pictures. Students will start presenting/ reading their stories in front of the class tomorrow.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all questions due today and students started work on # 12 - 17 on page 136/137, due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on Converting decimals, fractions and percents on Thursday Sept. 13.
Grade 7 MATH both classes - we corrected all questions due today and students started to work on the following items, up to question 16 on page 50, due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on Adding and Subtracting decimals on Thursday Sept. 13.
