Grade 7 ELA - students wrote the Chapter 2 Spelling quiz and we corrected it together in class. As well we corrected part of the items due today. To be continued tomorrow. No homework.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all items due today and started to look at reviewing adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. Reminder there is a quiz tomorrow on Percent of a number and Combining percents. No homework.
Grade 7 C MATH - we finished correcting all items due today. No homework. Reminder there is a quiz tomorrow on Multiplying Decimals as well as the Divisibility Rules that we looked at at the beginning of the term.
Grade 7 RC MATH - same as above.
Grade 7 RC ELA - students had a double period to work on q. 3 on page 8 of their Spelling book, 2 grammar worksheets (both double sided) on Suffixes, Contractions, Compound Words and Idioms , as well as a 2 sheet handout "A farewell to Pluto" (reading comprehension). Due tomorrow. There will be a Chapter 2 Spelling quiz on Wednesday, tomorrow.
Grade 7 RC MATH - we started to look at Dividing Decimals and students are working on page 64 questions 4,5,6 a,b,c, 7 a,c, and 8a, due tomorrow. There will be a Quiz on Multiplying Decimals on Thursday.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all items due today. Students are working on page 158 q. 20-26 for tomorrow. There will be a Quiz on Thursday on sections 4.3 and 4.4 Percent of a number and Combining Percents. As well the Chapter 4 Test will be on Wednesday, Oct. 3, next week.
Grade 7 RC ELA - we corrected all Spelling items due today as well as the Worksheet on Homographs and Prefixes. No homework.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all items due today. Students are working on page 149 q. 11-14, page 151 q. 16, 17 and page 152 q. 10 and 12, due tomorrow.
Grade 7 RC MATH - we corrected all items due today. There will be a quiz on Multiplying Decimal Numbers on Thursday, Sept. 27.
Grade 7 C MATH - we corrected all items due today and students started to work on page 74 q. 9-12, page 76 q. 3,5,11,12 and q. 21-38 (mental math) on the worksheet they already have. There will be a quiz on Multiplying Decimal numbers on Thursday, Sept. 27.
Grade 7 ELA - Students wrote the chapter 2 pretest for Spelling. We also corrected the rest of the grammar worksheet on Homonyms. Students started to work on Spelling questions: page 5 - all and page 6 q.1 and 2, due tomorrow as well as a worksheet on Homographs and Prefixes, also due tomorrow.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - We corrected most questions due, to be continued tomorrow. No homework, unless some students didn't finish p. 152 # 1-4 and 5,6,7,9.
Grade 7RC MATH - we corrected items due today . Questions 21-38 on the Powers of Ten worksheet due tomorrow.
Grade 7 C MATH - we corrected items due today. Questions 1-20 on the Powers of Ten worksheet due tomorrow.
Grade 7 RC ELA - students wrote their Chapter 1 Spelling quiz and we corrected it together in class. We also corrected the worksheet page on Synonyms and Antonyms. No homework.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - We corrected all questions up to #13 on page 42/43. The rest tomorrow. No homework.
Grade 7 RC MATH - we corrected all items due and students started to work on page 58/59 q. 16-20 and 1-20 on the Powers of 10 worksheet. Due tomorrow.
Grade 7 C MATH - we corrected all items due and students are working on page 58/59 questions 9-12 and 17-20, due tomorrow.
