Continue to memorize the musical alphabet: A B C D E F G A B C .......
Continue to memorize the white keys on the keyboard with F & C as the anchor keys (F to the left of the 3 black keys, C to the left of the 2 black keys)
Continue to memorize the Rhythm notation and their values:
Whole note - 4, Half note - 2, Quarter note - 1, Eighth Note - 1/2, Sixteenth Note - 1/4
Know the terms: time signature, staff, bar line, double bar line, measure, clef, treble clef, bass clef, line & space notes for both clefs
Finger numbers - Thumb - 1, index - 2, middle - 3, ring - 4, pinkey - 5
Friday, Jan 26th is the first Recital Friday for my 2nd semester classes in Theater and Piano.
If you would like to perform for the class tomorrow, you will get extra credit towards the summative portion of your grade.
You may play piano, another instrument, sing a song, read a poem, perform a dance. You can perform alone or with other cadets making it a duet, trio, quartet, etc.
I am looking forward to tomorrow's performances!
