Activity # Make a flier
As president of the Spanish club, you have been put in charge of a booth at the upcoming international food fair. You have decided to serve breakfast/brunch dishes from Spain Mexico and Puerto Rico. Use the notes you have taken in class about Spanish, Mexican and Puerto Rican cuisine. Create a flier to advertise what food and beverages you will serve, at what time you will be serving them, and how much the tickets cost. Your flier should have illustrations and describe in detail each dish.

This week we will continue studying irregular verbs (stem-changing verbs/boot verbs) from Unit 4 lesson 1 and 2. You should review vocabulary and grammar every day for 15-25 minutes to be prepare for class. The second marking period brings new concepts that will help you to transition to Spanish level III. If you need assistance, you should come after school for tutorials and practice the links posted on this page.
This is the plan for this week:
Monday : review of Unit 4 lesson 2 from pages 240-243 Spanish book ( you have access online, please use the ID and password given to you in class)
Tuesday : Speaking activity - role play " Interview your friend " - instructions were given in class, please check your notes. Review should be completed this day!
Wednesday : Unit 5 Lesson 1 - Vocabulary and grammar
Thursday : U5L1 Vocabulary packet- classwork ( submit at the end of class)
Friday : Did you get it? packet -homework due on Monday.
Note: Pop-up quiz coming this week! Irregular verbs (o-ue / e-i / food/clothes/Spain art and culture)

This is a short testing week on the way scheduled- PSAT's and SAT's on Wednesday and Thursday.
We started today the packet "Vocabulario U4L2" - irregular verbs and vocabulary around the city of Madrid, Spain.
This assignment is due on Friday, you were given time today to overview and complete the first 3 pages. In regards of midterms grades, grades are posted and will be visible by Thursday morning. During class, I offered one-one assistance to check your grade with me and also accepted late assignments if you had medical absences. US -unsubmitted or missing assignments are not longer accepted.
Please continue working hard and bring good attitude to class. Review again the contract signed at the beginning of the semester "Student Behavior Expectations" for clarification.
I am available to help you after school from 2:35-3:15pm.
