Dear Families and Cadets,
This week in Spanish class we are learning 'stem-changing verbs' and vocabulary from Unit4/lesson1 pg. 195.
Cadets were given today a packet to review and study vocabulary and verb conjugations, this is due on Monday. Please encourage your student to create flashcards for verb conjugations on Quizlet App and practice them for next week They also have access to the online book if they need tutorials and grammar definitions.
On Monday we will take a formative quiz on Socrative App, and Thursday a summative quiz to assess vocabulary and grammar from U4L1.
Afterschool tutorials : Monday and Wednesday from 2:35-3:15pm

Dear Families and Cadets,
This week we are working in a compare and contrast writing assignment 'La quinceanera' or 'Sweet 16" celebrations, cadets should complete the worksheet given today and submit it tomorrow at the beginning of class. They should be able to use comparatives, numbers 100-1.000.000 adjectives, verbs ser, tener, estar and gustar and family members vocabulary.
We are about to start Unit 4, I will suggest cadets review and study every day 15-30 minutes vocabulary and verb conjugations. If they need help, please ask them to meet with me afterschool on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:35-3:15pm.

Dear Families and Cadets,
This coming week cadets will have a (warm-up) formative quiz scheduled for Monday 10/01 in Socrative App. And a summative quiz on Thursday 10/4. They should be able to master the skills from Unit 3 Lesson 2 - numbers, family members, possesive adjectives, irregular verbs in present tense and adjectives to describe family and friends. If your student needs extra practise, please encourage him/her to use the online e-Book @Home Tutor and links posted on Links area on this website.
On Thursday 10/4- Parent teacher conferences from 5pm-8pm and to end the night a Bonfire fiesta!
I will call/email parents and cadets on Monday 10/1 to schedule and confirm time and availability. If you have any questions please contact me to [email protected]
Tutorials are available on Monday and Wednesday after school from 2:35 - 3:15pm.

Dear DMA Families and Cadets,
This is our third week in Spanish II class. We are learning present tense verb conjugations and family members vocabulary. I am glad to say that cadets participation is very positive and enthusiastic. Check HAC for updates about grades and missing assignments. If your student needs assistance with assignments, please encourage him/her to see me after school for tutorials.

Cadets should be prepare for a Socrative quiz 'warm-up' on 9/24.
Study and review:
- Numbers
- Family members vocabulary U3L2
- Irregular verbs conjugations :hacer, tener, estar, ir, pedir, servir, necesitar.
- Quiz on Thursday 9/27!
Cadets should study 'verbos regulares en tiempo present'
- Study vocabulary verbs ar, er,ir and places.
- Review again gustar and food vocabulary.
- Review again interrogatives.
- Warm-up quiz on Monday!
- This week we will continue learning present tense verbs conjugations, stem-changing and verbs'ser and estar' definitions. Check files section for visual aids and links for online practise.
