Cadets,

This week we continue working on present tense regular verb conjugations -ar,-er,-ir endings. We will have a guided practise to review vocabulary and conjugate verbs in complete sentences, you should come prepare to class and ready to participate. Please be organized, submit assignments on time and talk to me if you need help. I am available after school on Monday and Wednesday from 2:35-3:15pm and third/fourth mini block depending on the schedule. Read below the activities listed for this short week.

Dear Cadets and Families,

This is the last blog message send from Sra. Diaz TH-4/Spanish II class. We are getting ready to take the final exam on Wednesday and Thursday, the make-up day will be on Friday 1/18 . Students who need extra time/accommodations can take the exam in TH-4/Spanish class or the assigned room by Guidance department, please send me an email not later than tomorrow Tuesday 1/15 to confirm your preference. Review the following outline and study your notes and vocabulary list from your Spanish binder.

Final Exam Outline:

  1. Study vocabulary and grammar from Units 3,4,5 and 6.
  2. Study geography/cultural information : Puerto Rico, Rep. Dominicana and Ecuador.

Themes:

A) Verb gustar -pronouns and conjugations

B) Possesive adjectives and family members

Possessive adjectives: mi, tu,tus, su,sus, nuestro/nuestra(s)/su, sus

C) Present tense

   -regular verbs ending ar, er, ir

    -irregular verbs: stem-changing e-i/ e-ie /o-ue/ u-ue

    - irregular yo verbs - hago, tengo, vengo, salgo, traigo...

    - ser and estar definitions: DOCTOR AND PLACE

H) Writing assignment

  Email - Postcard : conjugate ten verbs in preterite tense to describe your last trip/summer vacation, add time expressions and places.
