Dear DMA Cadets,

 

Welcome back! iBienvenidos!

I hope you all had a wonderful break. I can't believe it, we have nine days before the semester ends and finals coming soon (please check your emails and calendars) Talk to me after school if you have questions or concerns about grade exemptions, missing assignments and classwork participation.

This week we will continue working on Preterit Tense - "Tiempo pasado" or Past tense. It was a packet given the last week of December and it was due on 1/4. Students are allowed to complete and submit for half-credit on 1/7. This weekend cadets should review and study past tense conjugations regular and irregular forms. See your notes taken in class and practice the links posted on this website ( click on links tab on top) and come prepare to participate in class.

 

Monday - Preterit tense verb conjugations and vocabulary U6L1 and L2

Formative quiz -Kahoot or Socrative Apps

Tuesday - Practice, review an re-teach Unit 6

Wednesday - Classwork/Speaking and Writing assignment

Thursday - Quiz U6L1 and L2 -Summative 50 points

Friday- Review for final exam/ study guide U3-U6 Spanish online book.

Dear Cadets,

This week we will end Unit 6 L2- "The beach" vocabulary and Past tense verb conjugations.

Monday: Quiz U6L1

-Sports vocabulary

  • Verb conjugations JUGAR, COMPRENDER, GANAR, PERDER, ESTAR, SER
  • SABER VS CONOCER definitions and uses of conjugations in context. 
    See notes taken in class and COMPLETE @Hometutor U6L1 activity we started on Friday for extra credit.
    Tuesday -Vocabulary/ classwork and grammar - Homework "Did you get it?" packet
    Wednesday - Warm-up ( Kahoot) and classwork participation
    Thursday - "Película" -Movie day!

      iBuenos dias! Good morning,

      This week we are about to start Unit 6 Vocabulary 1 -Dominican Republic/sports and places to visit around town.

      On Monday, students have a Kahoot.it activity as a vocab/warm up assessment.

      Also classwork and speaking participation from pages 304-307. If you are absent this day, please complete it upon your return to school ( Access the online book)

      Homework - Did you get it? U6L1 pages 1-6 completed by Tuesday.

      Tuesday - Grammar saber vs. conocer/numbers review

      Wednesday - Grammar practice packet and vocabulary review.

      Thursday - Review of Unit6 L1 

      Quiz- Postponed to Monday 17

      Friday-  Did you get it? U6L1 pages 7-12 completed and submitted this day!

      Art project and movie day.

      This is just a friendly reminder that missing assignments on HAC will be updated until Thursday after school. Interim progress reports are due on Friday 12/7 at 7:00am. Please check HAC and submit missing -Absent assignments by Thursday after school. If you need assistance, please see me after school.

      Welcome back!

      I hope you had a wonderful break. This week we will review Unit 5 Vocabulary 1 and 2. Cadets will take a formative quiz - Socrative App - irregular verb Yo conjugations on Thursday 11/29.

      Homework assignment will be given on Thursday 11/29. It is due next day Friday 11/30 (pages 13-18)

      Homework assignment/study guide due next Monday 12/03 (pages 19-24)

      Please study and review house vocabulary, chores and irregular Yo verb conjugations, we will have speaking and writing assessments in class until Friday 11/30.

      Quiz- U5L1 and U5L2 scheduled for next Monday 12/3- Irregular verbs, chores, house vocabulary and irregular "tú" commands.

      Quiz rescheduled for Thursday 12/6- Please come prepare to class!
