We will have our first quiz on Chapter 2 , crime scene investigation on Tuesday 2/4. The documentary, Poisoner's Handbook, will be shown to introduce the concept of the first forensic science investigations and the history of its necessity in current day society. We will start chapter 3, highlighting the use of hair as trace evidence in forensic investigation.
We will have our chapter review presentations this week. Friday will be an introduction to air in preparation for our study of climate and climate change.
This week we will learn about acceleration, what it is and how to calculate it. The test for speed, velocity and acceleration will be on Thursday. The test will include identifying graph components. Friday, we will begin the unit on physical forces.
This week we will start our physics unit with the study of speed and acceleration. We will design a lab , using the experiental design method, and test different conditioons and materials to determine those that yeild the greatest speed and/or acceleration.
This week we will finish our clean waterways contest entries and explore the Environmental Science textbook to chose topics and decide which chapters we will cover in the course.
