GRADE 7 RC ELA - students continued with their presentations from yesterday. They will end tomorrow. No homework.
GRADE 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all homework due today and students are now working on page 136 questions 18,19,20 and page 150/151 questions 4-8 all due tomorrow. Reminder about the quiz on Thursday.
GRADE 7 MATH - both classes - We corrected all homework due today. Students are working to complete page 74 questions 1-8 and page 76 questions 1,2,7 and 8 a,b. all due tomorrow. Reminder about the quiz on Thursday.
GRADE 7 RC - ELA - students started presenting their How I Spent My Summer story. It will continue tomorrow. No homework.
GRADE 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected in class all items due today. Students are working on page 136 questions 13 - 17 due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on Thursday on sections 4.1 and 4.2.
GRADE 7 MATH - both classes. We corrected all items due today. 7 RC class is working on page 50 questions 16,18,19,20 and 22 due tomorrow. 7 C class is working on page 49 questions 10 - 15 due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on Thursday for both classes on section 2.1 Adding and Subtracting decimal numbers.
GRADE 7 RC - ELA - students worked on editing their rough draft and producing a Title Page for their writing assignment. All items, including Good Copy and drawings due Monday. Presentations will begin on Monday.
GRADE 7 RC MATH - we corrected all questions due today. Students are working on page 48/49 questions 10-15 due Monday.
GRADE 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected all items due today and took notes about Conversion of fractions, decimals and percents. Students are working on page 135/136 questions 4 - 12 due Monday.
GRADE 7 RC - ELA - students started working on their How I Spent My Summer story. They were given a handout with instructions and marking rubric. The brainstorming web and the rough draft are due tomorrow morning.
GRADE 8 MATH - both classes - We started work on Chapter 4 (percentage). Page 128/129 questions 4,5, 9-12 are due tomorrow. All students were given a textbook to keep until June.
GRADE 7 MATH - both classes - We started work on Chapter 2 (Operations with decimal numbers). All students were given a textbook to keep until June. Students were given examples on Front End estimation and Relative Size estimation and adding and subtracting decimals. Page 48/49 questions 4 - 9 are due tomorrow.
Grade 7 RC MATH - we corrected previous questions. There will be a quiz tomorrow on Area of a Triangle.
Grade 7 C MATH - the quiz on Area of Triangles will be on Thursday.
Grade 8 MATH - both classes - we corrected previously assigned questions. Students are working on worksheet p. 196 # 1-40 due tomorrow. As well there will be a quiz on the Distributive Property and Solving 2 step equations, also tomorrow.
Grade 7 RC ELA - students wrote the Spelling Chapter 26 pretest and worked on pages 109-110 all questions due tomorrow. There was also 30 minutes of reading time for chapters 11 and 12 of their Novel Study.
