September 8, 2014

Welcome to our first full week of a new school year. I am excited for all of the fun things we will be doing in class. We will be beginning our 40 book challenge, as well as reviewing The Lemonade War. We will also take our first Benchmark Assessment on Friday. Tuesday will begin our first Cycle class which is Computers. Please make sure your student has some sort of earbuds or headphones with them for Computers. On Wednesday we will have our first Spanish class of the year and on Thursday, to remember and honor all those who died on 9/11/14, we will attend a memorial mass at 1:45pm.

All students should have their supplies, summer reading reports, and any money handed into me by today, 9/8/14. All of their small brown envelope paperwork should be handed in by 9/9/14. Our interactive notebooks will work the best with a glue bottle, rather than glue sticks. If you could, in the next few weeks, send in your child with a small bottle of Elmer's glue, I would appreciate it.

I look forward to a fantastic week with you all.

Welcome to a full week of school at St. John the Apostle. I am excited to get to know all of you this week. We will spend our week getting to know each other, participating in a team building activity, and begin to understand the tools used in Science class.

All of their small brown envelope paperwork should be handed in by 9/9/14. Our interactive notebooks will work the best with a glue bottle, rather than glue sticks. If you could, in the next few weeks, send in your child with a small bottle of Elmer's glue, I would appreciate it. Students will also need highlighters to use in our workbook/textbook.

I look forward to a fantastic week with you all.
