Welcome back for another full week of school. In Science we have been learning the basics of the science process--communication, tools, safety, and what a scientist looks like! Our first test will be on Tuesday, 9/23. The study guide is attached to the files section of our school notes page. A paper copy has gone home with your student. October Scholastic Book Club Order forms went home on 9/26. If we order $100 worth of books, our students will all receive a free book, Spirit Animals: The First Greencloak, a Scholastic exclusive. We will be continuing our studies of plot and character throughout this week. We will also be having our second Spelling Test this week. We will also have our first Reading Comprehension Test this week. Our Vocabulary Workshop Pages will be due on Tuesday (9/23/14).

I have a classroom set of free book coupons to use this book club order. Students who complete a book by Wednesday. Students will need to hand in their completed index card on this book before they receive their coupon. Students may earn their book after this week,but it will go towards our October order.
