We will continue to study motion and add velocity and acceleration to our calculations. Wednesday we will have a quiz on speed, velocity and acceleration. We will have our first summative evaluation on the same on Friday.  Wednesday and Thursday we will be introduced to Newton's laws, and the physics of car crashes.

We will begin our study of forensic science with the devlopment of our observation skills and the inmportance of being aware of our total surroundings.  We will use these skills as we examine the importance of observation in the investigation of  crime scenes.

We will continue our use of Edgenuity to target specific math skills to address the individual learning needs of the cadets.

This week we will start our physics unit with the study of speed and acceleration.  Using the Scientific method, we will design and document a lab to determine the relative speed of a golf ball and a ping pong ball. There will be a quiz on Friday, on speed and velocity.

This week we will review classroom policies and procedures. Cadets will be introduced to safe lab practices.  There will be a safety quiz on Friday, 9/6. A signed syllabus review, lab safety contract and movie permission form are all due on Friday 9/6.
