We will continue our study of recycling, and the problems associated with our oceans as the final resting place of many recyclables. Thursday, we will visit the Delaware Solid Waste Authority, to see their recycling program and landfill.
We will have a quiz Monday, after review, on waves. This week we will begin our study of mixtures and solutions to introduce the new chemistry unit.
We will study recycling practices and how single stream recycling works. We will prepare for our visit to the landfill next week by examining green waste disposal methods. Students must have their permission slips and money turned in by the end of the week.
We will begin our study of blood and blood spatter and how it can be used as evidence to solve a crime.
This week we will continue our study of waves. We will focus on the electromagnetic spectrum, but will compare mechanical waves and RKE (random kinetic energy).
