We will continue our study of estuaries and work on our designs for the Wilmington Clean Waterways art contest. The Estuary web quest will be due on Monday 2/11.
We will enjoy presentations given by pairs of cadets, to introduce selected chapters. We will learn about Delaware estuaries and create inspirational drawings to submit to the Wilmington Clean Waterways art contest.
We will start our study of physics with speed. We will design a speed lab using ramps, golf balls and ping pong balls. We will document our findings using the experimental design format. The first quiz for speed will be on Tuesday, February 5.
We will begin to examine crime scene investigation, and the roles of the first responders and investigators. Students will act as investigators and/or criminals and will set up or solve "staged" crimes.
We will start the week with an overview of the syllabus and basic lab safety procedures. A chapter synopsis/ presentation project will be assigned to familiarize the class with the "Living in the Environment" textbook and the chapter information. This project will be done in class and is due on Monday 1/28. Please check the Schoolnotes calendar and HAC for due dates.
