We will start a unit on Forensic Entomology. We will use computer lab time to conduct research on famous cases that used entomology as a forensic tool. The project is due Tuesday, March 19th. Our quiz will be Wednesay, March 20th.
We will continue to prepare for our climate change debate. We will begin debating on Wednesday. A representative from the University of Delaware Mechanical Engineering department will visit our classroom on Friday, bringing experimental equipment for the cadets to use to design and test the efficiency of a wind turbine. This will kick off our study of renewable energy resources.
This week we will continue our study of renewable energy. We will continue our unit on forces, calculating safe trailing distances and energy transfer on a variety of surfaces. The alternate, renewable energy essay is due to turnitin.com by midnight on 3/7/19. There was a typo on the original class id for the turnitin submission. The new id is 20581674, enrollment key - 19804. I have corrected the information on the rubric attachment in HAC and also on the file attachment in schoolnotes.
This week we will begin our study of textiles and fibers. Poisoner's Handbook video summary is due on 3/7/19. Thursday we will conduct a lab to test some physical and chemical properties of unknown textile samples.
We will complete our class conversation on our chosen forensic career choice. We will continue Poisoner's Handbook with the goal of finishing by Friday. We will have a lab and quiz review Wednesday for hair analysis, with a quiz on Thursday.
