Intro to Entomology essay and slide/poster is due on Tuesday, test on Chapter11 will be Wednesday. There will be no midterm for this course.
Midterm essay requirements were distributed on Monday. Tuesday we will test our solar collectors, lab write ups using experimental design are due on Wednesday. Midterm essay will be written in class on Thursday during our midterm testing block.
We will drop our Eggs on Tuesday, weather permitting. The Physics Unit final will be on Wednesday. The midterm and Egg Drop lab write up are due Friday March 22.
We will continue or study of alternative energy sources with a summative on Thursday, March 14. We will design solar collecting devices, hoping to create internal temperatures sufficient to melt chocolate for s'mores. Please bring in your $$ and permission slips for the field trip to the Delaware Solid Waste Authority on April 4th.
We will continue our study of energy by learning how it is measured. We will calculate KE, PE, work and power, first using the energy of a rolling balls dropped from different heights, and then applying our skills to the Egg Drop project. We will build our containers on Thursday, and drop them on Friday, weather permitting. We will have a quiz on energy measurements on Wednesday, March 13th, with a physics unit final on Tuesday, March19th.
