This week we will review the syllabus, safety contract and classroom rules and procedures.  We will review safety procedures and tour the lab to identify its safety features.  We will discuss MSDS sheets and their importance, then  take a safety quiz.  We will begin our Physics unit with the study of the Law of Conservation of Energy and how it applies to a simple energy transfer.

This week we will review the syllabus, safety contract and classroom rules and procedures.  We will review safety procedures and tour the lab and identify its safety features.  We will test our powers of observation and explore the beginnings of forensic science using a documentary entitled "Poisoner's Handbook". Syllabus, safety contract and movie permission are due back, signed for credit by Friday 1/25.  Please check the calendar in Schoolnotes and HAC for important due dates.

This is our final week of forensic science.  We will write a reaction/summary of our favorite chapter topic for our last summative gradebook entry. I have enjoyed having these cadets for miniblock, and hope they learned as much from our studies as I did.

This is our final week of CP 9.  Study Guidelines for the final will be distributed on Monday and the cadets will receive their Chem II tests for review.  They may use these tests to prepare fo the final.  We will cover igneous features, volcano formation and flow types.  Tuesday will be dedicated to the rock cycle and review for the final.  All sections will take their final on Wednesday, January 16.  Their optional Brightsurf Geological Artical Summary will be due on January 16th as well. All optional assignments must be turned in to turnitin.com by 11:59pm.  Turnitin Class ID - 2005247, Enrollment Key - 122457.

Take home Forensic Entomology tests are due on Friday, 1/4. We will start a new chapter, Handwriting Analysis and Identifying Counterfeit currency which will take us into next week. We will finish the semester with a study of Firearms and Ballistics.  Our last class will be January 15.  There will be no final exam for this class.
