GRADE 5 FRENCH - We checked the last twotranslations from the first Animals sheet and went to the next two pages, reading together out loud, writing new vocabulary words. Homework - to translate into English the next two short sections.
GRADE 8 B FRENCH - We reviewed vocabulary associated with Amis de la Terre and the 16 house chores/activities - Travaux menagers. There will be a short quiz on Wednesday.
GRADE 7 C FRENCH - The terms to and from - a /de were introduced with regards to going to and from a place : a la, au, aux, a l' / du, de la, des, de l' . Students took notes, were given a handout to finish for next class.
GRADE 7 G FRENCH - Same as above.
GRADE 7 G RELIGION - Students worked on finishing in class the chapter questions. We will go over the answers next time.
GRADE 7 C RELIGION - Same as above.
GRADE 5 FRENCH - students started to translate from French to English the first sheet on endangered animals. Due tomorrow.
GRADE 8 M RELIGION - students read the section on St. Ambrose in chapter 8 and did the assessment exercise. We reviewed the answers and they were given 10 minutes to start studying for their chapter 8 quiz tomorrow.
GRADE 8 M FRENCH - students started presenting orally their sentences on Les Travaux Menagers. To be continued next class and the written sheet is to be handed in then.
GRADE 8 B FRENCH - same as above. Some students have to fix mistakes in their sentences.
GRADE 8 B RELIGION - students read page 91 in chapter 8 and we discussed the meaning of Canon of Scripture and Testament. Then, in groups of 2 they engaged in the Activity on p.91, looking for the names of thirty books of the Bible hidden in a passage of text.
GRADE 7 G FRENCH - students continued with the unit on transportation and travelling. The verbs Aller and Venir were used in all their forms for the present tense. There were handouts, but no homework.
GRADE 4 FRENCH - we reviewed the adjectives in combination with a review of animals and numbers 1-20.
GRADE 5 FRENCH - The class began a unit on endangered animals. We read out loud, practiced pronunciation, reviewed previously learned words and added new vocabulary in our notes. No homework.
GRADE 7 C RELIGION - students finished their stained glass window representation of The Holy Spirit, drawing and colouring.
GRADE 7 G FRENCH - We finished our review of Numbers 1- 1000. No homework.
GRADE 8 B RELIGION - The students read the section on Emperor Constantine (St. Constantine) in chapter 7 and took point form notes about his contributions to the Christian faith. We also went over the notes to check they are complete.
GRADE 8 B FRENCH - we took notes about, and discussed Les Travaux Menagers (Household work) and practiced pronunciation. No homework.
GRADE 6 FRENCH - The students finished their rough drafts of their Ma Profession presentation, organized into two sections : Aujourd'hui and Moi comme adulte. No homework.
GRADE 8 M FRENCH - same as 8 B French.
FRENCH 5 - Students presented their Venez chez Moi paragraph and their pictures/drawings. No homework.
FRENCH 8 B - We continued our list of careers in French - Les Professions and worked on sentences using Etre. Due Wednesday.
FRENCH 7 G - Students presented their Mon Sandwich Favori sentences and their poster. No homework.
FRENCH 7 C - Same as above.
RELIGION 7 G - Students wrote definitions on terms like Divine Revelation and Salvation from the reading in the new WE BELIEVE (Sadlier) books and thought about how we can be a reflection of God for those people in our lives. No homework.
