GRADE 2 FRENCH - we looked at names of a few animals in French, parcticed pronunciation and played a game to see if the students remember which animals they were.

GRADE 8 B FRENCH - we continued with expressions using the verb Faire. Students were given a handout of 2 sheets , we went over the instructions and all 4 parts, A,B,C,D, are due tomorrow, after having time in class to work on them.

GRADE 8 M FRENCH - the same as above.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - Students read p. 28 on St. Jerome, took note and proceeded to work on their cahpter 2 practice assessment, p. 29. No homework.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - students wrote the chapter 2 quiz. No homework.

GRADE 2 FRENCH - we reviewed verbally the alphabet in French, numbers 1-10 and Colours. Then students coloured a diagram of a Thanksgiving turkey and labelled it in French - 'Le dindon'.

GRADE 6 M FRENCH - We checked the translation of the BIENVENUE NATALIE poem, taht was assigned last class, sentence by sentence. There is a vocabulary quiz next Thursday.

GRADE 5 FRENCH - the students wrote a short vocabulary quiz on the words from Chez Lucie and Chez Antonio. No homework.

GRADE 7 C FRENCH - we did a review of sports and activities in French and the students were given sentences relating to sports to translate for next time. There will also be a vocabulary quiz on Wednesday.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - There will be a chapter 2 quiz on Tuesday. Today we started chapter 3 by talking about the importance of laws as a prelude to looking at God's law. Students wrote a story about a 'lawless' scenario (Activity on p. 33) and then told the class what they wrote. A final question is due next class.

GRADE 8 M FRENCH - we continued with our list of Expressions using the verb Faire. No homework.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - students finished presenting to the class their shields/crests.

GRADE 7 G RELIGION - Students started presenting their shields/crests. To be continued next class.

GRADE 5 FRENCH - We read again the Chez Lucie and Chez Antonio sections on food, practicing pronunciation. There will be a short vocabulary quiz on the Chez Lucie words from the students' notes, on Thursday.

GRADE 7 G RELIGION - we corrected the previously assigned board questions , read p. 27 on Tradition and Scripture and began the Activity on page 27 - designing a family shield/crest that relates to anything from Scripture and/or Tradition and that includes a short motto. Students will get more time in class next time to complete it. Then they will briefly present it to the rest of the class. No Homework, except to think of a motto for the shield.

GRADE 7 G FRENCH - we corrected the homework sentences and studenyrs will work on the second page of the sheet (p.19) in class tomorrow. No homework.

GRADE 7 C FRENCH - same as above except the second page is due as homework, for Wednesday.

GRADE 8 B FRENCH - students worked on parts B, C  and D of their Sports handout. Whatever they didn't finish in class, they will do tomorrow in class. No homework.

GRADE 8 M FRENCH - same as above.

GRADE 8 B RELIGION - we read pages 24 - 27 on moral decision making, Penance, and developing your conscience, students wrote the definitions in their notes, we discuseed the steps incolved in making moral decisions and 7 board questions were assigned. They will get another 10 minutes at the beginning of next class to finish. No homework.

GRADE 8 B FRENCH - Students started to work on a review sheet that combines the verb Avoir with previously learnt vocabulary about school and school subjects.

GRADE 8 M FRENCH - same as Grade 8 B. p.18 due Monday.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - we checked the answers to the previously assigned questions about Scripture and Tradition, we read p. 27 and started the Activity on p.27 - creating a family shield/crest that relates to Scripture and Tradition. Students are encouraged to think more about ideas (at home). They will have ap. 15 minutes in class next time, to finish.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - we discussed and corrected the answers to the previously assigned questions about social sin and the Sacrament of Penance. No homework.

GRADE 5 FRENCH - Students were given 2 handouts, one with a pizza diagram and one with the chef Antonio going through the steps of making a pizza. We read out loud both handouts (teacher and students), talked about the possible meanings of any new terms and wrote the new vocabulary terms on the board as notes to be copied in their duotangs. To be continued next class. No Homework.

GRADE 7 G FRENCH - We continued to add to our vocabulary list of sports and sport activities. Then the students were given notes on how to use the verbs Jouer and Faire correctly for different sports and finally they were given  board sentences relating to sports to translate to French using their notes. Due Monday.

GRADE 7 G RELIGION - Students read pages 25 and 26 in the Religion book (Sadlier - We live our faith I) that discuss Scripture and Tradition. Then they wrote down the definitions of the 4 terms on page 25 and started to work on 5 related questions that were put on the board. They will finish during next class, Monday. No homework.

GRADE 8 B FRENCH - Students wrote a short quiz on the verb Avoir - to have. Then we checked the sentences using Expressions with Avoir that were due today (1-10). The rest, 11-20 are due tomorrow. They had some time in class to work on them (blanks and translations).

GRADE 7 C French - We corrected the homework that was due today, sentences relating to sports, using the verbs Jouer and Faire. Then a  sheet was handed out with more vocabulary terms and Part A. is due Monday.
