GRADE 2 FRENCH - students completed a small poster labelled Je ma'appelle _____  with a drawing of themselves.

GRADE 6 FRENCH - students wrote a vocabulary quiz on the A l'ecole and Allons au Centre Ville sections of the Natalie story and we corrected them in class together. No homework.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - we started reading and talking about The Blessed Trinity and the relationship between the three Divine Persons in One God. No homework.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - we reviewed what 'Happiness' means to each individual student , what the world tells us Happiness is through advertisement, entertainment and mass media, and then came to a definition of what real Happiness is. Next time we will take another look (grade 7) at the Beatitudes.

GRADE 7 C FRENCH - We started a section on traveling and The World. The verbs Voyager, Habiter and Aller were introduced as well of rules for using the terms a, au, a la, aux, a l', and en. No homework.

GRADE 8 B RELIGION - students presented to the class their rewritten, contemporary version of the parable of The Return of the Prodigal Son. No homework.

GRADE 2 FRENCH - We reviewed Le Animaux and played a game with animal names. Then the students practiced introducing themselves to the class by saying 'Bonjour, Je m'appele ____ ./ Hello, my name is ______ .

GRADE 8 B FRENCH - students worked on their presentations about Household Chores/ Mes Travaux Menagers. They will start presenting tomorrow.

GRADE 8 M FRENCH - Students continued with their oral presentations about Mes Travaux Menagers/ My Household chores. We will finish the presentations next class.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - The class did an acrostic using the word RELATIONSHIP, using words that relate to having a good relationship with friends and family. This is a warm-up activity for the chapter about the Holy Trinity and the relationship between God the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. No Homework.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - We finished hearing students' retelling of the parable of The Return of the Prodigal Son and continued to read about the Beatitudes.

GRADE 5 FRENCH - students continued to present orally their pizza recipes - Ma Recette Preferee. We will finish the presentations next class.

GRADE 7 G FRENCH - Students wrote a short quiz on the verbs Faire and Jouer and we corrected it in class.

GRADE 7 G RELIGION - Students wrote their chapter 2 quiz. No homework.

GRADE 8 B FRENCH - We took notes on Les Travaux Menagers/ Household Chores and students will work in class tomorrow on their presentation (16 sentences).

GRADE 7 C FRENCH - We finished checking previous work assigned and students will write a short quiz on the verbs Faire and Jouer on Thursday.

GRADE 2 FRENCH - We continued filling out our sheet with Les Animaux /Animals, French words for different animals. We parcticed pronunciation and students had a chance to colour their animals.

GRADE 6 FRENCH - we read out loud again the A L'ecole and Allons au Centre-Ville sections of the Natalie unit story and finished writing down new vocabulary words. There will be a vocabulary quiz on these words next Monday, a week from today.

GRADE 5 FRENCH - students started to present orally, in front of the class, their Ma Recette Preferee/ My Favourite Recipe for a pizza. The presentations will continue in tomorrow's class. No homework.

GRADE 7 C FRENCH - We went over the worksheet handed out last time on Activites d'ete/Activites d'hiver. We will continue tomorrow with the translations on the second page.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - students did the activity on p. 35, rewriting the parable of The Return of the Prodigal Son in a more contemporary vein. We listened to a few write-ups today and will finish it off next class on Wednesday. No homework.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - students wrote their chapter 2 quiz. No homework.

GRADE 7 G RELIGION - We went over the answers to the chapter 2 practice assessment in class. Students will write the chapter 2 quiz tomorrow, as previously informed.

GRADE 6 FRENCH - Students wrote a vocabulary quiz on Chez Les Tremblay and we corrected it together. No homework.

GRADE 8 B RELIGION - We finished listening to students' stories about 'Michael in Lawless County' and discussed the importance of laws and God's law.

GRADE 7 C RELIGION - students finished the chapter 2 practice assessment in class. Tomorrow we wil go over the answers and Monday they will have their chapter 2 quiz.

GRADE 8 M RELIGION - The class read p. 34 on God's Law and the Commandments and then were given 10  minutes to complete the Activity (designing 5 laws for a new community). We started to hear the students' contributions. To be continued next time.

GRADE 8 M FRENCH - we completed a list of household chores - Travaux Menagers and frequency words to use. Students have to write 16 sentences in French about themselves and the chores listed. More detailed instructions given in class. Due on Monday.

GRADE 7 G FRENCH - we listened to the students presenting orally thei sentences about Mes Sports et Activites. To be continued next class.

GRADE 7 G RELIGION - the class read about St. Jerome (p. 28) and took some notes. Then they began to work on the chapter 2 practice assessment. They will be given 10 more minutes to finish in Monday's class. Then we will go over the answers and the chapter 2 quiz will be on Tuesday.
